As we approach the new year, I find a lot of anxiety and stress tends to surface. Take a moment to sit down and write your biggest dreams. Whether it’s in the form of a photo collage or written in a journal, this is a great time to focus on what matters to YOU. Here’s a step by step guide on how to get started on your vision board. Watch the full YouTube tutorial here.
1: Ask Yourself The Important Questions
What do I want to achieve this year/month/etc?
What am I looking for?
What is important to me?
Asking these questions can help determine a theme or purpose for your vision board
Helps you stay aware of your goals/intention.
2: Pick A Theme & Look For Inspiration
Try to find a common theme tying your board together, whether it’s a quote or mantra
Aside from deciding what content you want on your board, think about the aesthetics and colors
Write down positive statements of your dream self
3: Get Creative (HAVE FUN!)
This is where you can use your creative freedom to express yourself on your vision board
This is something you will constantly be looking at so do whatever you think is best
Tips to prevent waste: using old magazine cutouts, postcards, or even inspirational greeting cards you can find
Tips:
Look up color theory charts to see which colors evoke certain emotions.
Affirmations to consider in your vision board:
Health, money, entrepreneurship, social, and eating habits
Write down your biggest fears and seal in an envelope to track growth by the end of the year
Create a reward system for accomplishing your goals such as getting a manicure, ice cream etc.
Make your vision board tailored to YOU.
