Easy Gluten Free Black Sesame Strawberry Mochi Donuts
I love fresh mochi donuts, slightly crispy on the exterior and chewy on the center. Ever since I discovered the 3 ingredient bagel, I wanted to test adding a plant based yogurt into my mochi donuts! To my surprise it works! I’m still perfecting the recipe but wanted to share for those who wanted to try it.
Ingredients
1 cup of Mochiko Rice Flour
1/2 cup coconut sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup of siggi’s strawberry coconut yogurt (5.3 ounces) or mango coconut yogurt
1/6 cup of oat milk
1/4 cup of butter
1 tsp salt
1/8 cup of ground black sesame
6 inch donut pan
Steps
Preheat oven to 350 F
Combine the rice flour, sugar, ground black sesame and baking soda together.
Melt the butter and mix in.
Stir in the egg yolk, yogurt, and butter.
Whisk the egg whites until thick peaks. Fold into batter
Fill up the donut wells to the top and be sure to leave the center empty
Bake for 28-32 minutes
Transfer to a rack to cool! Enjoy
