My Camera Gear! Best Camera for YouTube Videos and Instagram Photos!
One of the most frequently asked questions that I get is, what camera do you use to film your YouTube videos and/or what do you recommend for beginners getting into photography? How do you get that blurry background look in your photos?
What I am currently using to shoot: YouTube Videos
DSLR: The first camera I ever used to film my YouTube videos was the Canon T3i with the 18-55mm kit lens (2012-2014). The Rebel DSLR series is great for beginners looking for an affordable camera. From 2015-2017 I shot with the Canon T6i with a Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 lens.
I saved up for my dream camera, the Canon 5D Mark IV. The lens I use is the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8. The pro's of this camera body is the quality 4K videos and amazing photography. One of the downsides to the body and lens is that together it weights over 2lbs. I've had this camera for over 4 months now and I would highly recommend this camera to professional photographers and videographers! I use the Canon 5D to shoot my YouTube and Instagram videos.
DSLR Tripod: Dolica 62 inch Camera Bag: Canon 2400 SD Card: SanDisk 32GB
Vlog Camera: After a lot of research and debate with my boyfriend, I purchased the Sony RX100 V. As a full-time content creator, I needed a camera that was light weight and performed well in low light situations. I'm going to be honest and say that this camera has gotten better over time. It is ultra compact point and shoot camera and weights 0.6 lbs. It is capable of shooting 4K videos and has a flip up screen perfect for vloggers or photographers on the go. One of my favorite features is the super slow-motion HFR (High Frame Rate) movie clip options. One of the downsides to this camera is the short battery life and high price tag. It is definitely an investment!
Compact Tripod: Manfrotto Mini Tripod

Here are a few examples from my Instagram feed and the camera I used the achieve the shot.

Some questions you should consider before purchasing a camera: Use: What is the goal of your new camera? Type: Should I buy a DSLR or a mirrorless camera? Budget: Is this camera for professional or personal use?
I hope you found this post helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions!
