My travel guide to Oahu, Hawaii from a bloggers perspective. Since my sister moved to the island last year, I've been taking notes on a few of my favorite spots. Here's how you can make the most of your time on the island on a budget and also have an epic adventure! Special thank you to my sister Jenny for the aloha spirit. Mahalo!

  • Best time to purchase tickets and save! I purchased my flight from San Francisco to Oahu right after New Years and got a round trip flight for less than $350. I personally love flying Hawaiian Airlines because of the unique hospitality and complimentary inflight meal and drinks.- If you sign up for a Hawaiian Airline credit card, you can get a one time 50% off companion flight to Hawaii and a free check in bag. See here for more info.- If you're a student under 25 years old, use STATravel.com to get a discounted price for domestic and international flights.IMG_0945
  • Places to visit perfect for photography- Nothing is more epic than an epic boat party to Kaneohe Sand Bar or to a private island.- Charter a boat from my friends from Hobie Cat Sailing in Hawaii, for an intimate and private adventure led by knowledgable and friendly Hawaiian locals. You can go snorkeling by the coral or fishing! Special thank you to Parker for taking my sister and I on an epic adventure to the Mokes!- There are a bunch of man-made swings scattered across the island. Find one and snap a few playful photos.- Rent a car and take a road trip to North Shore.- Hike Koko Head Crater or Diamond Head volcanic crater.- Purchase the most beautiful flower crowns from Ocean Dreamer Florals as the best hair accessory. The flower crowns are unique, hand crafted, and made to order!

    - Take a drone flying class and rent from DroneitUS. Snag an epic shot of the island for the most memorable vacation vlog.

  • Best restaurants and food recommendations Aside from the beautiful scenery, what I love most about Hawaii is its fresh fish, spamusubi, lau lau, and shaved ice!-  Aloha Cones for ahi bowl -  Bubbies for mochi -  Dukes on Waikiki -  Mac 24/7 is a restaurant off of Waikiki with Asian fusion dishes with bold and dynamic flavors. The portions are generous which is perfect for families and large groups. I personally loved the flavors of the Thai Grilled Kalbi Steak Salad, Mac Nut Mahi Mahi, and Grilled Ribeye Steak. Or if you're looking for a romantic date night, try out their wine and food pairings for dinner. If you are feeling adventurous, you must try the infamous 5lb Mac’s Pancake Challenge for brunch! - Shrimp Trucks for garlic buttery goodness - Taste Tea for boba milk tea - Eat the Street Hawaii is a food truck festival where you can taste the local flavors and listen to live music for free.
