Best Restaurants in San Francisco: Causwells
For my 24th Birthday, I had the pleasure of dining at Causwells, a rustic restaurant located in the Marina District in San Francisco. I had a fun time browsing the neighborhood boutiques and trendy cafes before arriving at the restaurant with my friends.
To celebrate my 24th birthday, I invited my friends for a night of delicious food and wine. The highlight of my dinner had to be the Americana burger, named by 7x7 as "100 Things to Eat in San Francisco Before You Die". That was enough to draw me in :)
What a way to start the night, with a glass of wine with my two favorite girls, YouTuber Cristina and long time friend Annie! (Aren't they gorgeous?)
Here are a few highlights from our dinner!
For appetizers, we started with the Deviled Eggs made with smoked trout, paprika, and tangy dry mustard. YUM! These quickly disappeared from the table.
We tried one of the new dishes, a seared Flounder with rice pilaf, melted leeks, almond pistou and yogurt. I would highly recommend this dish (perfect for your Paleo friends), it was Ryan's favorite of the night!
We also tried the Grilled Chicken made with leek risotto, fontina, garlic broccoli, and chili. I loved the creamy texture of the risotto and tenderness of the chicken.
On my list of must try's was the Americana Burger, American cheese, Causwells sauce (omg this was DELICIOUS), pickles, onions, served with a side of crispy onions. I added avocado, and bacon to complete the double double-esque burger! The beef patties were cooked to a perfect medium. This burger definitely lived up to the hype! To crispy onions perfectly complemented the burger, and bursted with flavor. I'm already drolling typing this!
I would highly recommend Causwells for a casual brunch, date or special occasion! The servers were all extremely friendly and I left with a warm smile and a happy stomach! They even brought me the famous “ALL-STAR” Donut Bread Pudding with a candle for my birthday (super sweet I might add). Thank you for the wonderful meal Causwells!
